Full Job Description
- Working in line with requirements of quality, health and safety, and environmental management systems.
- Writing Operating Procedures for manufacturing and internal processes
- Ensuring that all plant, equipment and process meet health, safety, and environmental legislative requirements, including conducting risk assessments.
- Identifying and investigating process improvement opportunities, keeping up to date with new plant and equipment developments.
- Specifying plant and equipment requirements for jobs
- Providing day-to-day support to the production line processes, to include root-cause identification of faults, defects and process issues
- Specifying plant and equipment requirements for jobs
- Propose, evaluate and implement improvement projects to provide cost savings in areas such as material, machine and manpower efficiency and "Cost of Poor Quality"
- Assist with Shop floor layouts and Cell designs
- Issuing relevant permits to work to subcontractors for onsite activities
- Supporting to other areas as and when required
Clear communicators, particularly when writing / implementing work instructions - Implementation of production line experience
- Organised planners with effective attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure to strict deadlines
- Proven analytical skill and have a hands-on approach.
- Confident users of various IT systems.
- Be able to communicate at all levels across the business
- Degree qualified in a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Discipline or relevant experience
- MS Office knowledge
- Experienced working within a busy production environment
- Able to prioritise work load
- Good Communication skills
- Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement knowledge
- Experience of material mixing processes
- Experience of Laminating processes
- Injection Moulding Experience
Basic salary of up to £40,000 per annum - Annual bonus of up to 15% of basic salary
