Full Job Description

As a Painter and Decorator at Kirk & Randall, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for creating flawless and visually appealing surfaces:

· Prepare Surfaces: Ensure surfaces are ready for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes for a smooth painting process.

· Apply Finishes: Apply coats of paints, varnishes, or finishes to various surfaces, demonstrating expertise in painting techniques.

· Colour Matching: Achieve accurate colour matches and impeccable finishes to maintain the desired aesthetic.

· Use Tools: Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment, such as brushes, rollers, sprayers, and ladders, ensuring their optimal condition.

· Measure Materials: Measure and calculate material quantities required for each project, collaborating with the procurement department.

· Protect Areas: Safeguard surrounding areas from paint by using drop cloths or masking tape.

· Fix Surfaces: Repair and patch damaged areas on walls or surfaces, seamlessly blending with the existing finish.

· Stay Safe: Adhere to safety guidelines and use appropriate protective gear when working with paints and chemicals.

· Keep Things Clean: Maintain a clean and tidy work area throughout and after each project.

· Be on Time: Ensure adherence to project timelines and deadlines for efficient project completion.

Are you a skilled painter and decorator with an eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces with the perfect finish? Kirk & Randall is searching for a talented and experienced Painter and Decorator to join our team and contribute to enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our properties, completed projects, and offices., · Proficiency in various painting techniques, including brushwork, rolling, and spraying.

· Strong understanding of colour theory and the ability to accurately match and blend colours.

· Attention to detail to achieve a high-quality finish and precise application.

· Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines.

· Knowledge of different types of paints, varnishes, and finishes, and their suitable applications.

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

· Effective problem-solving skills to address unforeseen challenges during projects., · Proven experience as a painter and decorator.

· Experience working on listed buildings is desirable.

· Completion of relevant vocational training or apprenticeship program is preferred.

· Familiarity with industry tools, materials, and safety standards.

· Portfolio showcasing past projects and displaying a range of skills is a plus.
