IT Analyst

As an IT Analyst, your role will be to ensure critical IT Service, architecture and technology catalogues are maintained and conduct regular reporting in relation to technical debt, service performance and configuration management processes

Key Accountabilities:

CUSTOMER:

Ensure the tracking & reporting delivery of change designs across by the definition and implementation of controls across the architecture design process

Produce and publish the monthly application report providing information of the IT estate, its dependent technologies and expected remediation roadmap

Produce all reporting needed in relation to technical debt needed for key tier 4 (TechCo & EROC) but also board meetings (especially risk committee)

Responsible for performing status accounting/reporting, verification and auditing the CMDB

Collate date for and produce service level reporting into various governance forums highlighting service and IT performance to the wider Bank stakeholders

Collaborate with colleagues across the Bank, ensuring technical debt risks are understood and accurate

Confirm and track remediation activities through engagement with colleagues across the change community

Grow their own SME knowledge and understanding of the IT estate to ensure data captured is accurate and identify further potential areas for improvement

Maintain critical bank catalogues to increase re-use and minimise discovery

Maintain knowledge of and adherence to all relevant regulatory guidelines

Drive automation in IT reporting & asset management to drive efficiencies across the suite of reporting

Be responsible for the tracking and reporting of all elements of Technical Debt in the Banks IT estate - a key element of operational risk

Operate risk controls to ensure key IT catalogues are maintained alongside all change activity

ITIL Certificated or similar qualifications - Desirable but not essential

Proven experience as an IT Analyst or similar role

Experience of working in an Agile environment, able to meet strict deadlines.

Knowledge of IT infrastructure to identify relationships

Understanding business drivers and service delivery impact over an extremely complex IT technical estate

Experience in an IT Service based environment

Strong ability to plan and coordinate activity

Analytical thinker able to identify areas for improvement

Strong reporting and documentation skills with a keen attention to detail

Good working knowledge and experience of Excel

Capable and confident communicator

Proven stakeholder and key relationship management skills
