Full Job Description

Role Overview: The Paraplanner will work closely with our financial advisors to support the financial planning process and deliver high-quality, comprehensive advice and recommendations to our clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting research, preparing financial reports and analyses, and assisting in the development of tailored financial plans that meet our clients' objectives and needs.,

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of financial products, investment options, and tax strategies to support the financial planning process and client recommendations.


  • Prepare detailed financial reports, illustrations, and presentations for client meetings, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.


  • Assist financial advisors in gathering client data, assessing risk tolerance, and understanding financial goals and objectives to develop personalized financial plans.


  • Generate cash flow projections, retirement planning analyses, and other financial models to evaluate clients' current financial positions and identify areas for improvement.


  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including advisors, compliance, and operations teams, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of client documentation and regulatory disclosures.


  • Stay informed about regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices in financial planning, and incorporate relevant updates into client recommendations and reports.


  • Provide technical support and guidance to advisors on complex financial planning strategies, tax implications, and investment products.


  • Assist in the implementation of financial plans, including the completion of application forms, account transfers, and coordination with third-party providers as needed.


  • Maintain accurate and organized client records, files, and databases, ensuring compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.


  • Support ad-hoc projects, initiatives, and team objectives as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to contribute to the overall success of the firm.

    Professional certifications (e.g., Diploma in Financial Planning, Chartered Financial Planner) preferred.


  • Previous experience in a similar role within the financial services industry, preferably in a wealth management or advisory firm.


  • Solid understanding of financial planning concepts, investment products, tax regulations, and regulatory requirements relevant to financial advisory services.


  • Proficiency in financial planning software and tools and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse complex financial data, identify key insights, and communicate findings effectively.


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.


  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
