Full Job Description

The Marketing Specialist will support the London office across a variety of marketing and business development duties. The role will work closely with the Senior Marketing & Business Development Manager in London, while also working collaboratively with, and as an integral part of, the firm's global marketing and business development team.
We have two London roles available:

  • One role will oversee marketing and business development activities for our Transactional practices, including Corporate/M&A, Real Estate, Funds, Private Equity, Banking & Finance, Real Estate Finance, Capital Markets, Tax, Energy, Employment and Intellectual Property.

  • The second role will oversee marketing and business development activities for our Contentious, Regulatory and Restructuring practices including Civil Fraud & Business Disputes, White Collar Crime & Investigations, Arbitration, Restructuring & Insolvency, Contentious Insolvency, Financial Regulatory, Competition Law, and ESG., Develop relationships with key London lawyers to serve as point of contact for day-to-day marketing and business development needs, and identity marketing and branding opportunities for the office/market.

  • Prepare pitches and RFPs, including conducting/analysing market research and analysis on prospect companies and business sectors, in coordination with practice and regional office professionals.

  • Proofread and copyedit client-facing and internal marketing materials.

  • Create and edit internal newsletters and other communications.

  • Coordinating with lawyers and the global marketing team on award nominations, surveys, and submissions for directory and ranking authorities such as Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and IFLR.

  • Make recommendations for and coordinate sponsorships, memberships and event attendance at client and industry events in order to increase the visibility and influence of the firm in the London market.

  • Work closely with the London events co-ordinator on event implementation and management, including set-up and catering arrangements, creating mailing lists and invitations, sending and tracking invitations and RSVPs, evaluating return on investment and closely managing the event budget.

  • Understand the local practices, office initiatives and representations of key clients

  • Ensure content on website, biographies and in the firm proposal database is current and updated as appropriate.

  • Support London office initiatives in coordination with the Senior Marketing and Business Development Manager and office leadership, and ensure these are tracked in relevant databases.

  • Collaborate with marketing and other business professionals across the firm to provide information about London capabilities, experience and statistics.

  • Be knowledgeable of firm systems and conversant in technology used by marketing team and firm, and identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency., Exemplifying our commitment to promoting inclusion and equity across our platform, the firm participates in the Mansfield Rule Certification Program (Mansfield).   • Solid experience in marketing or business development role and team.

  • Experience at a law firm or professional services firm is preferred
