Information & Technical Officer

Green Sefton is an exciting service which manages our special coast, parks and greenspaces: from our beautiful and internationally recognised coastline which supports some of the rarest flora and fauna in the country, to coastal habitats which are rarer than rainforest, through to our historic parks and gardens, 160 other greenspaces, and our sport and recreation facilities. In total, we manage around 5,500ha of land and this includes managing both inland and coastal flood risk too. We are a varied service indeed!

With the help of a small team, the successful applicant will offer business and administration support to the service.

An excellent communicator, you will provide high quality customer care; dealing with enquiries from the public, Elected Members and other partners and supporting GDPR information compliance for Corporate Complaints and Freedom of Information Act requests.

You will be experienced in working with a range of software and systems including Office and Sharepoint. Knowledge of GIS mapping systems would be desirable too.

This post provides a fantastic opportunity to use your knowledge and skills to help develop Green Sefton's data management systems.

Well organised and experienced, your knowledge of budget monitoring, purchasing and the invoicing of customers will be essential in supporting our teams.

You will be required to work from a variety of bases across the Borough, working agilely within the Council's policy.
