Join our team providing business support to child care and play providers (parent and toddler groups, Ti a Fi, playgroups, nurseries, holiday clubs, afterschool clubs and childminders) in Merthyr Tydfil and across Wales and setting up and facilitating community groups in the Merthyr Tydfil area., Cymryd Rhan is a charity that has been supporting people, communities and organisations across Wales for 40 years.

As a Childcare Play Business Support and Community Development Worker and member of the team you will work to the job purpose and organisational culture:

  • To support the citizen by always doing the right thing, at the right time, and in the right way.

  • To carry out business activities that support and protect the essential frontline keyworker role and that all activity is measured against the impact to the citizen.

    Experience of working with children and a recognised childcare or play qualification.

  • Working knowledge of the childcare sector

  • Information Technology skills working knowledge of software packages including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Good oral/written communication skills Ability to communicate in Welsh and English / Commitment to promoting bilingualism and integration.

  • Be a driver with a vehicle.


  • The post holder will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.

    12 Hours per week £11.96 per hour.
