Full Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Finance Director or CFO who has commercial experience of growing a group, making acquisitions and offering genuinely strategic decision-making support to the CEO, board and investors.

We're open to candidates from all commercial sectors but the winning factors will be commerciality, strategic business growth experience, drive and enthusiasm and a real passion for Finance.

Someone who is keen to drive improvements and efficiencies to match the ambitions of future growth plans. Candidates from the service-sector will have an advantage.

You will support the CEO and bring finance to the forefront of the business and all the decisions it makes. You help build a class-leading function and you will play a major part in the strategic direction of the business.,

  • Full ownership of Financial and Management Accounts, MI, forecasting & planning and all internal & external reporting

  • Identifying, implementing & leading efficient financial and operational processes to achieve sustainable growth

  • Ensure the production of year end consolidated accounts & financial statements, managing the external auditors

  • Implement controls and process and automate finance where possible

  • Provide analytical insight to performance, revenue drivers and challenges and opportunities

  • Lead the development and implementation of short and medium term strategic plans

  • Produce high-level MI and KPI's to support key decision-making

  • Own and evolve the financial and forecast models

  • Work with senior lender to ensure timely reporting of all financial information and adherence to covenants

  • Treasury and Cash-flow management

  • Manage relationships & contractual agreements with external partners & suppliers

  • Lead and develop a small finance team and enhance their support of the business

    Fully Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACA/ACCA/CA

  • Experience of a PE-backed environment

  • Proven experience as a Finance Director or CFO

  • Multi-site / consolidation experience is essential

  • Gravitas and the ability to interact with a senior board

  • Highly developed Excel and planning skills

  • Ability to take the initiative to respond to changing situations and priorities with a high sense of ownership, urgency, and drive


  • This is a fabulous role in an established group that has recently taken on significant investment, therefore there is a high expectation of growth for this business.

    It will be an extremely rewarding journey but it will be demanding, so expect a challenging role but one where you will have autonomy and the ability to effect change and drive commercial growth.
