Full Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Account Executive to join the team here at the Jensten Group. We're open to both experienced Exec's, or someone that has done some Handling & Broking and wants to move up to Exec level. You'll be based at our Central London office, and we offer hybrid working once settled into the role.

Reporting to the Account Manager, the main purpose of the role is to broker Renewal & New Business (NB) risks (mainly PI, but some D&O/ML and Cyber too) to the market (premiums of £10k+). The book of business is a spread of micro businesses, SME's and Mid-Market. You'll be working closely with an Account Handler who will be there to support, also helping them to develop at the same time. Some key objectives & responsibilities will include:

  • Offer and present insurance solutions including insurance policies and other risk management solutions, with purpose to secure renewal and/or new business

  • Identify and pursue cross-selling, up-selling and similar opportunities. Utilise all leads provided to you by the company and develop new and efficient ways to increase the quote volume.

  • To assist with Admin and Credit Control (Slip/risk Processing, filing emails, chasing outstanding Premium etc) where necessary

  • Achieve or exceed agreed volume of Quotes/Sales/Income generated from all marketing sources including own personal prospecting activity.

  • To understand client's business operations, opportunities and risks and their approach to risk management and insurance. To ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. FCA



  • As one of our Account Executives, you'll look after existing clients in addition to generating new ones (focus being on growth). You'll be able to build & strengthen relationships easily, doing client visits and staying in regular communication. You'll have a passion for providing solutions- and a flair for spotting opportunities that will help existing and new clients going forward. You will also be or have:

  • Insurance industry background- especially in Financial Lines (preferably PI), with Broking experience

  • Lloyds/London market experience (ideally), and experience of dealing with premiums of £10k+

  • The ability to broker different sectors, but specialised Industries (e.g Construction) also considered

  • Passion and flair for new business, coupled with strong history of retaining clients (essential)

  • Great customer service and communication skills

  • Excellent telephone manner, being able to network & build working relationships easily

  • Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance and sales

  • Acturis system knowledge (ideally)
