Full Job Description

At Red Bus, we encourage children to have fun, be creative and be happy all day. Children learn by example, so we expect our staff to do the same! Our contemporary and OUTSTANDING Ofsted rated Bristol-based nurseries are looking for more dynamic people to join our team. If you love having fun and can work with others to provide excellent care at the same time, then we'd love you to come on board.

As an employer, we really value and appreciate our staff and we do everything we can to ensure that they work in an exceptional environment with great facilities. In return, we expect quality care for the children we look after, commitment and a positive attitude.

We have a rare opportunity for a Part-time Practitioner, working 1:1 with a child. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30am-4:30pm, although additional hours are available in the nursery should the successful candidate want full-time work. This is an enormously satisfying role with the opportunity to work with one child to provide individual support. This is a fixed term contract, subject to funding, until August 2026 or before this should the child leave the nursery.

This role would be supporting a child during these hours to be able to access the curriculum and understand the child's individual needs working alongside the child's support plan. This may include exercises provided by different professionals and interventions including bucket time. You will be required to work closely with the Nurseries SENDco and SEND Champion as well as outside agencies and form secure relationships with the family.

Whilst a formal Childcare qualification is not required, you must have a passion for working with children with additional needs and some experience of working with children.

What we offer you:

· a child centric approach, we love the children to have as much fun and possible and to learn in the best environments

· a quality and professional environment. We are rated Outstanding with Ofsted and we help our Practitioners train and learn to this standard

· lovely people who work for Red Bus who are very team focused and work together

· a management team who listen and support and who importantly value the work our staff do in these important roles

· amazing environment for you and the children ! Fully resourced, continually changing, very much fun!
